Dr. Nicolas Moussiopoulos is a Full Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, and the Head of the Laboratory of Heat Transfer and Environmental Engineering. He is also an Honorary Professor in the School of Mechanical Engineering of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. Prof. Moussiopoulos is the author of more than 500 scientific publications, including more than 140 papers in peer-reviewed journals and 26 books. His research work addresses several issues in the broad field of environmental, energy and waste management. As an internationally recognized expert in these fields, he is evaluating research programmes for several European countries and the European Commission. He has also consulted several Greek Ministers and has represented Greece in numerous international committees and bodies.
