One of the objectives of WP2 is the employment of eleven (11) senior researchers, preferably with highly competitive research track record and relevant experience in the fields of the GREEEN-AgriChains Project, so as to augment and enhance the research capacity base of A.U.Th. Having already proclaimed all working positions, the senior level researchers that were recruited are listed in the following table:

Extensive research on the Greek Pellet Market was conducted in the context of the GREEN-Agrichains Project. Critical results of interest were presented in the context of the 14th Pellets Industry Forum that was co-organized by Solar Promotion GmbH, the European Pellet Council, and the European Biomass Association (AEVIOM) in Munich, June 11-12, 2015.

Best Young Researcher Award (Biomass)

One of the senior post-doctoral researchers of the GREEN-Agrichains project, Dr. Agorasti-Eri Toka, was awarded as the Best Young Researcher on Biomass at World Sustainable Energy Days 2015 (24-26 February, Wels/Austria) by Mr. Rudi Anschober, Regional Minister for Energy, Upper Austria and Mr. Gerhard Dell, Director of OÖ Energiesparverband, Austria.
