Event PosterThe A.U.Th. Research Committee and the Employment and Career Structure (ECS) of A.U.Th. organized an event, named "A.U.Th. in NOESIS - Meeting of Innovation, Education and Culture", providing information on innovative educational programs.The exhibition held in the Science Center and Technology Museum - NOESIS (6th km Thessaloniki - Thermi Road, Thermi, Greece) on the 18-20th January, 2013.

The aim of the event is to promote research activities and innovative "products" of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, with the view of informing public, production bodies and the media.

Along with the exhibition, short speeches / presentations of research achievements took place, in order to disseminate them to the general public. Moreover, a special section in which student achievements and innovative ideas for the entrepreneurship development (Student's Corner) was organized.

List of Participants
In the Section of "Rural Development and Food", the GREEN-AgriChains Project was presented, participating with a poster (which can be viewed in this link), a video and a corresponding speech of Professor and Head of the Laboratory of Alternative Energy Sources in Agriculture in the Department of Agricultural Engineering of A.U.Th., Prof. Gerassimos Martzopoulos.

Critical results of interest were presented in the context of the 14th Pellets Industry Forum that was co-organized by Solar Promotion GmbH, the European Pellet Council, and the European Biomass Association (AEVIOM) in Munich, June 11-12, 2015.

Best Young Researcher Award (Biomass)

One of the senior post-doctoral researchers of the GREEN-Agrichains project, Dr. Agorasti-Eri Toka, was awarded as the Best Young Researcher on Biomass at World Sustainable Energy Days 2015 (24-26 February, Wels/Austria) by Mr. Rudi Anschober, Regional Minister for Energy, Upper Austria and Mr. Gerhard Dell, Director of OÖ Energiesparverband, Austria.
