Designing Creative Synergies

Design gives Value! Wherever applied – designing a process, a product or a service – it builds power through consistency and awareness.

Successful design is about narrating a story, verbally as well as visually. Regardless of the outcome itself and what are the key characteristics that make it unique, the added value lies in the way the story is told. In that sense, design, as a structured creative process, is a competitive tool of major importance for companies and entrepreneurs. Getting noticed is the key for success business stories.

To that end, local stakeholders from industry, businesses and academia, as well as policy makers had the opportunity to meet and collaborate during the event with experienced, worldwide acknowledged designers towards promoting international creative synergies.

Following thematic sessions on design creativity, links to industrial applications and business career perspectives, the event hosted the award ceremony of the 6th competition for industrial design of furnitures, organized by DROMEAS S.A.

The event is co-organized by International Hellenic University, A.U.Th., the General Consulate of the Federal Republic of Germany in Thessaloniki, the Goethe Institut, the Greek-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dromeas S.A., the Business and Cultural Development Centre (KEPA) and the CREATIVITY FOR.TH platform.

Specifically, one of the organized thematic sessions, namely the "MANUFACTURING / PACKAGING / STANDARDIZATION OF AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS", refers to the GREEN-AgriChains research field, and was moderated by Prof. Eleftherios Iakovou.

The event was held in the I.H.U. Auditorium (14th km Thessaloniki - Moudania) at 9.00–20.30 hrs.

Participation to the info day was free of charge.
