Dr. Dimitrios Triantafillou is Professor and Head of the Department of Logistics, of ATEI of Thessaloniki since 2003. He holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Department of Chemistry, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, 1987 and his main research objectives are on gas chromatographic analysis, HPLC and DSC analysis and applications on food traceability. He has been Project leader of three Projects under the EPEAEK II Programme (Operational programme for education and initial vocational training, 3rd E.C. Support Framework 2000-2006) with total budget of approximately 2.000.000 €. He is a member of the British Biochemical Society, and the Society of Greek Chemists, member of the Organizing Committee of ICESAL Conventions (Information Systems and Logistics) (www.icesal.org) 2006, 2007. Dr. Triantafillou collaborates with the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of Pieria for the organization of Seminars and Workshops, and with “Pieriki Anaptiksiaki S.A.” (Regional Development Public Authority), on a research program for the creation of a Local Quality Control Guide.
